Air Pollution Reduces considerably the Production of Solar Energy

By 2050, the production of solar energy is expected to increase faster than the other production means worldwide. Some regions such as the Arabian Peninsula, China and India already invested a lot in solar power stations. According to an American study, in close collaboration with an Indian Institute, the air pollution impacts the production of solar energy, which may be reduced up to 25% because of dust and particulate matter deposited on photovoltaic surfaces.
