New air pollution peak in northern France

A strong increase in air pollution took place yesterday, April 9, 2017, in the French region of Hauts-de-France (Lille). Fine dust particles and nitrogen oxide levels reached the limit of 50 µg/m³, which in France implies the announcement of an information stage. The city of Lille, the capital of this region located in the North of France, has decided to introduce both a ZCR and a ZPA environmental zone, the limits of which are yet to be defined. Both zones should be introduced during the coming months.
