Edinburgh will have a LEZ!

In the Scottish capital, 80% of nitrogen oxide concentrations are directly related to traffic. For this reason, the Mobility Act currently under discussion in the Scottish Parliament provides for the establishment of two environmental zones: one throughout the city for buses and commercial vehicles and another in the city centre for cars. Intelligent cameras are to check 24/7 whether the vehicles entering the city meet the required Euro standards: Petrol passenger car Euro-4, diesel passenger car Euro-5 and heavy vehicles Euro-6, which will enter into force by the end of 2020 with a one-year grace period.
