Are mobile air quality sensors reliable?

More and more sensors are being put on the market, so that individuals can measure air quality in their environment (nitrogen oxides, fine particles and ozone). However, there is no national or European framework that compares the reliability of the data. According to a study conducted in partnership with the Central Air Quality Monitoring Laboratory, measurements are most reliable in enclosed areas, but can be improved outdoors or in motion. Ultimately, air quality monitoring is a professional activity carried out by accredited agencies!
