Bee Drone for Measuring Air Quality

Beeyond (a Grenoble-based start-up) has developed bee drones to measure air quality in more or less accessible areas. These machines of about 45 cm wingspan weigh 1 kg. They have a flight time of 12 minutes and can climb to an altitude of 150 metres. During their outings, they measure the concentrations of pollutants present in the air, and then draw up an accurate map of the pollution clouds.
