Air pollution alert in Grenoble

In Grenoble, the first level of air pollution alert has been activated. Yesterday, a relatively high air pollution has been detected as the limit of 50 µg/m3 of ozone has been exceeded and no improvement was foreseen for today. The first level of air pollution alert has been announced what means that the population should refrain from doing outdoor sport and stop polluting activities as doing barbecues and burning garden waste. Furthermore, the maximum speed throttled by 20 km/h on highways, which is also indicated next to the streets. If the weather becomes less hot and windier during the week-end, circulation restrictions are not expected.
