Air pollution on cruise boats as bad as in Asian big cities

A new study of the British TV-Channel Channel 4 shows that the fine particles pollution on cruise boats is as high as in big cities of Asia. The values registered on the Oceania, a boat guesting 2,000 people, reach 84,000 fine particulates pro cubic meter. The journalists had already measured the rates on Piccadilly Circus, in the middle of London, where the values reach “only” 38,840 fine particulates pro cubic meter. Despite the short exposition to this air pollutant on the boat, this can be very dangerous for sensible people. Every day, such a boat emits the same pollutants volume than 1 Million cars.
