The city of Graz, Austria, is experiencing a long phase of air pollution. Until mid-February, the limit levels of fine dust had long been exceeded during 26. Only 25 days per year are allowed. The Austrian Traffic Club has warned that traffic restrictions are inevitable in order to improve the air quality in Graz. Until now, the city government has taken no actions with regard to this issue. Apparently, traffic restrictions are a taboo. The FPÖ urban traffic council did initiate a test phase with electric buses from China, which unfortunately failed due to technical security problems.
