2019: a bad start for air quality in northern France

Since the beginning of the year, air quality in northern France has been worse than last year: 19 days above the allowed limit values; whereas 6 days in the same period in 2018. Over a long period (2008-2018), air quality has improved significantly (-25% PM10 and -6% NOx). It is often thought that it is worse, but it has been more communicated in recent years, ATMO reports. However, ozone pollution has actually become worse. Several air pollution episodes are therefore to be expected with the coming summer.
