The German Blue Badge is the solution to child asthma in cities

According to a study of the Swiss Tropics and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), nitrogen oxides emitted by diesel vehicles in German cities significantly increase the risk for children to get asthma. Many cities and regional governments are therefore advocating—against the opposition of traffic minister Dobrindt—for the introduction of the Blue Badge, which according to a report of the Ministry for Traffic of Baden-Württemberg would reduce nitrogen oxides by 95% under the established limits.
