The limits of the environmental zone of the Arve valley have been defined

The environmental zone of the Arve vallez, in the French Alps, which was announced recently, will be defined by means of a decree. The environmental zone will cover the 41 municipalities of the 2012 air protection plan of the Arve valley. The zone begins in the crossing of the A40 and the A410 in Contamine-sur-Arve until Chamonix, along the A40 and the national road N205 toward the Mont Blanc tunnel, and will reach until the town of Le Tour. For the moment, only trucks of more than 7.5 tons will be affected by traffic restrictions during permanent air pollution peaks.
