The Green Party of Vienna fights for better air quality

The Green Party of the Austrian capital, Vienna, is disappointed by the measure taken so far for the improvement of the city’s air quality. As a first demand to the city senate it has been proposed to introduce traffic restrictions for all those vehicles that are not equivalent to a EURONORM 6. In addition, according to Vienna’s ecologists, carsharing offers must be incentivized together with e-mobility and use of public transportation. In 2017, the maximum levels of fine dust in Vienna have been exceeded 19 times. The Austrian law of air quality protection establishes a maximum 25 times year during which air pollution limits may be exceeded.
