The ZCR environmental zone Grenoble
On November 2016, the city of Grenoble determined that an environmental zone should be introduced as of January 1, 2017. This ZCR environmental zone (“Zone à circulation restreinte”) entails the totality of the city center. Traffic restrictions related to this environmental zones will be valid as of January 1, 2017, first for light vehicles (N1) of up to 3.5 tons and registered before September 30, 1997 as well as for heavy vehicles (N2 and N3) registered before September 2001.
The ZCR zone of Grenoble includes the old city center of Grenoble. In the west, the limit of the zone runs along the Drac river until its confluence with the Isère river. In the east, the limit of the zone runs along the Isère river until road D1090, which continues until the river Drac through road D1532. Both roads form the southern limit of the ZCR zone of Grenoble.
