Amsterdam: zero emission zone until 2025

The capital of the Netherlands, has announced a new clean air plan to transform the environmental zone within the A-10 motorway into a zero-emission zone. From 2020, 15-year-old diesel cars will be banned. From 2022, trucks and light commercial vehicles up to EURO-6 will be excluded from traffic and only zero-emission public vehicles will be allowed. From 2025, the low emission zone within the A-10 motorway will be a zero-emission zone for taxis, mopeds and all buses, coaches, trucks and light commercial vehicles as well as ships. Finally, passenger cars and 2-wheeled vehicles diesel and petrol will also be banned from 2030.
