Pedestrian zone on the banks in Paris

Since September 2016, the City of Paris had decided to transform the riverbanks of the Seine into car-free lanes, which had triggered numerous protests. The verdict of the Administrative Court was confirmed in the appeal and cancels the city's decrees. The reason for this is the shift of traffic to secondary axes and therefore the load underestimated by the impact study. The city, which wants to reduce the use of cars, should now think about a different legal framework, so that the pedestrian zone is legally compliant.
