How much does air pollution reduce our life expectancy?

Fine particles, especially PM2.5, penetrate deeper into the lungs and are therefore more dangerous to health than other particles. The situation is worse in Asia and the Middle East. In Egypt for instance, the reduction of life experience is estimated at 2 years, compared to 3 months on average in Europe.
