Bordeaux Polluted by Barges

In Bordeaux, barges burn a considerable quantity of diesel fuel! The daily consumption of a liner reaches 500 L, i.e. an average of 3000 L per day in the city center. In 2017, nearly 50 boats stopped in the downtown area. To reduce the ecological impact of this activity, which is offensive to environmental activists, the municipality has decided to install electrical terminals. At quayside, the shuttles will be able to recharge their batteries and turn off the engines. Smoke cleaning systems will also be installed and will reduce pollutant emissions by up to 90%.
