Franco-Swiss Cross-Border Cooperation Against Air Pollution

Representatives of the Geneva metropolitan area and Franco-Swiss communities are about to sign the first cross-border agreement against air pollution: “Pact’Air”. The goal is to take the best actions of both countries and apply them on each side of the border. Thus, French would have to comply with stricter regulations in terms of heating installation. Whereas the Swiss may introduce the Crit’Air badge and traffic restrictions to the most polluting vehicles during pollution peaks in Geneva.
