Dieselgate

In Germany, politicians finally decided that manipulated diesel cars must, at least in part, have hardware modernisations. In July 2017, at the Diesel summit in Berlin, German industrials and politicians had summarized that a software upgrade was sufficient for diesel cars to meet the standards. In the meantime, a group of specialists appointed by the Ministry of Transport decided that these changes were not enough to avoid traffic bans in German city centres threatened by trials.
